"The City of Ottawa has adopted amendments to its by-laws to provide for more smoke-free spaces. New Schedules Posted -- Play Ball (Finally!)

Well, we've unofficially already started the season since the North Gower diamonds arranged an exemption to the playing ban. Their field conditions were acceptable. For the rest of the fields, tonight is the opening night.

On ROMSA home diamonds, there is only one schedule change for the week of Monday, 9 May 2011, and that is a Boys Bantam-Midget Game (Greely 2 vs. ROMSA 1) has been scheduled in for Manotick 1 at 8:30 pm.

The rest of the revised schedules will be posted by noon EDT today (Tuesday 10 May 2011) so please check back then.

Opening Day Postponed Again, Now 10 May!

Bad news I’m afraid. The City has directed that our diamonds not be used until Tuesday, 10 May at the earliest. Consequently we will have to reschedule the entire 1st 1.5 weeks of our season. Stay tuned as ROMSA and the other softball associations re-shuffle the schedule to get these games in.
