NIC Network Binding Order is Very Important with MS Clustering like Exchange DAG
With any kind of Microsoft clustering (Exchange DAG [Database Availability Group], MS SQL Server, etc…) the NICs’ binding order is very important. In my instance, I have an Exchange DAG which spans the Atlantic and is transmitted across an IPsec VPN. I have to set my management interface to a higher priority such that that NIC is selected 1st when trying to communicate with other members of the DAG.
